A holiday on the Alpe di Siusi

So, you want to know what the Zallinger is exactly? A mountain lodge? A chalet village? Hotel? Alpine hut? None of the above. Or let’s put it another way. A little bit of everything. But one thing we do know for sure. A few days here on the Alpe di Siusi with us will do you the world of good. It’s true, fresh mountain air and a panoramic view of the Dolomites are like a veritable fountain of youth. And when you go down into the valley again, back to your life, you’ll realise that true luxury is found in the simple things in life. Fancy another coffee? Or maybe a glass of wine?

How long has the Zallinger been around? Quite a while. Trust us, sometimes we can’t believe what we’ve made out of our mountain hut over the last few years ourselves. Some say we’ve created a miniature paradise. And it’s true. Up here, all is still right with the world. I wonder if the fox and the hare say goodnight to one another here? More than likely! Because that’s what we’re all about. Leaving behind all the bells and whistles, the dashing around and the social media stuff. The world is just too beautiful to look at through the lens of a square box. You’re afraid you’ll get bored up here with us? Let us worry about that. We’ll soon get you moving…

A summer like back in the olden days. To the snowy winter fun of yesteryear.

How did our vehicles get this name? Simple! First of all because the four-wheel drive Jeep and snow cat bring our greatest happiness up to us – guests like you. And secondly because our Glücksbringer taxi brings everything you need. But there is one thing you need to know: nothing is taken for granted up here on the Alpe di Siusi. Every matchbox and tomato have to go the way of everything else at the Zallinger – from the valley up to us. It wasn’t so long ago that we had to carry everything up on foot or on the backs of our Haflingers. But we’ll tell you that story another time.

We rely on our Glücksbringer taxi for everything up here.

catches the mountain cheese. And freshly baked bread. And delicious coffee. What do you mean, you’re not a morning person? Well, you’ll have to see where you can stay. Don’t worry, we’re only pulling your leg. But lying in bed for too long is not a good idea at the Zallinger, we only serve breakfast until 9.30 am. But it has to be said, we do only serve the best that the Alpe di Siusi has to offer.

Chop, chop!

So, you’re usually a couch potato at home? Don’t worry, we’ll get you moving. At the Alpe di Siusi, you’ll see it’s so beautiful, you’ll automatically want to go head outdoors. To go hiking. Biking. Mountaineering. Horse riding. Skiing. Cross-country skiing.
