Come on in! Can you smell that? That is the scent of the larch and spruce. We love this trees. So much so, we used it to furnish every single one of our 11 newly renovated guest rooms and all 24 alpine rooms in our 6 chalets. And here, feel this. It’s genuine South Tyrolean loden fabric. Isn’t it fine? Now hold on tight. It might just bowl you over. Just go out onto the terrace. Take a look at that. This panorama unfolds for you every day. A sunset like this on the Sassolungo is simply the most beautiful thing in the world. With a view like this, there’s no need for a TV. You won’t find one of those in our rooms either. Nor a desk or a couch. After a few hours up here on the Alpe di Siusi, you’ll know why.
On the Alpe di Siusi there’s…
A chalet village like nothing you’ve ever seen before
Alpine rooms in the chalet
Barbara has done a brilliant job. Our friend is an interior designer and we think she’s done a fantastic job with every one of our Alpine rooms. Every 23-square-metre-room has been furnished with love and the open-plan design really pays off. Just come out onto the terrace! Take a look at this panoramic view!

Alpine room²
Some of our Alpine rooms are very special, indeed. Just take a look. Do you see the gallery up there? A real cosy nest, an eagle’s nest for two. Use this extra-special bedroom yourself or let your children have it. But no squabbling over it, okay?
Small print and things to know
- Our rates include half-board per person and day. We also have special rates for children that sleep as a third or fourth person in their parents’ rooms.
- You want to come alone? Then we charge a single occupancy surcharge of 30%.
- We love animals. But unfortunately the Zallinger is not the right place for your pet. Whether it's your arrival, room or restaurant, we can not offer your beloved four-legged friend the free space he deserves. We thank you for your understanding.
- On the day of arrival your room will be ready for you from 2 pm. Check-out is until 10 am.
- The Alpe di Siusi is a protected area, so private cars are not allowed up here. We send you the permit to drive before your arrival. How it works: You park your car in our free underground car park in Saltria. Zallinger’s Glücksbringer taxi will pick you up at the following times: Mornings at 08:30, 09:30, 10:30 and 11:30 am; afternoons at 2 (only in summer), 3, 4 and 5 pm. If you arrive after 5 pm, please give us a call. The Glücksbringer taxi ride is free on the day you arrive and depart. There is a small charge if you want to take the taxi in between. Always a good idea: taking the Florian chairlift down to the valley and back up again.
- A real connection doesn't need the internet. Radio silence is a great thing. After all, you can "switch off" in the truest sense of the word. Although Wi-Fi is now available at the Zallinger we wholeheartedly encourage you to spend your time out up here on the Seiser Alm offline, in a wonderfully old-fashioned and wonderfully relaxing way.
- Television? Of course you can! At the Zallinger, we have deliberately chosen not to have TVs in the rooms. If you still want to watch TV, go to the window. Open it. And let your gaze wander. As long and as far as you like. If you still wish to watch TV, please contact the reception, and they will bring a TV on wheels to your room.
- Please make a deposit of 30% of the total booking amount so that we can book your room for you and get down to business. You can pay by credit card or bank transfer.
- We know how easy it is to find your favourite room at the Zallinger, but please understand that we cannot guarantee a specific room number when you book.
- If for any unexpected reason there is a general price increase, we reserve the right to adjust the rates quoted.
- What happens if you can’t join us on holiday after all? It’s best to play it safe and take out a travel cancellation insurance policy.
- Otherwise. the following cancellation conditions apply:
- In case of late arrival or early departure, the full amount of the booked stay will be charged.
- For cancellations made 6 weeks or more before arrival, the deposit will not be refunded.
- For cancellations within 6 weeks before arrival, we charge 50% of the booked stay.
- For cancellations within 3 weeks before arrival we have to charge 100% of the booked stay.
- These cancellation conditions are independent of whether the cancelled rooms are rented out again wholly or partially.
